A Pro Golfer's Lucky Day

Professional golfer Jennifer Lewis (right), who graduated from the University of Virginia in 1988, lives in Annapolis with her husband, UVA hockey captain Daniel Gelinas, and the couple’s three daughters (from left, Lily, Evelyn and Ella). Lewis recently played her first event as a mother: the Kingsmill Classic, as the first mother in more than a decade to compete in a LPGA Tour event. She won’t be back next year, due to her position on the team. “I made the LPGA though, so maybe I’ll go back!” she says. Lewis was never a top player but had a successful collegiate career and is also a consultant and a television commentator. She was profiled in this piece a year ago, before her daughter Ella was born. [Photos by Kevin Stutchbury]
