Netflix is showing its support for the Palestinian people by launching a “Palestinian Stories” collection featuring award-winning films.
“This collection is to be our expression of gratitude to the Palestinian filmmakers who are giving voice to the stories of Palestine and their struggle for freedom and self-determination,” Netflix said in a blog post.
“We are proud of the culture of storytelling and the people that love to tell stories in all their forms. Over the past few years, we have seen a growing desire from our members to explore the real-life dramas unfolding in Palestine and were happy to introduce Palestinian Stories to our members.”
Many of the films in the series come from the Palestinian Film Institute’s collection as well as a number from Lebanon, Afghanistan, and the West Bank.
