Actor Nicholas Braun said his hit television series once had one notable unhappy actor who was “such a terrible person”.
Braun’s character, Michael “Cousin Greg” Bosworth, has been enjoying stardom in his father’s network drama since the show began in 2015.
Braun told GQ magazine that Cousin Greg, as played by comedian Patrick Warburton, had received negative feedback from behind the scenes.
“Cousin Greg had one infamous star of the show, a guy who played another character on the show who was such a terrible person that Michael hated him,” Braun said. “It was Patrick, and I didn’t understand, like: ‘What’s the deal with this guy?’ Michael just always hated him. One of the last times I saw Patrick, he said, ‘Nobody liked Cousin Greg, man. Nobody even knew who he was!’ I had no idea! But he felt unsafe all the time!”
Braun said he tried not to listen to his co-star’s negative feedback about the show. “I never said shit about it,” he said. “I just played it from the other side of the fence, and Patrick knew that, because Patrick’s a very clever guy.
“But I won’t even say it to Patrick now. That’s a rockstar moment, that’s Patrick’s character, and he knows.”
